Lala will be leaving Singapore in... about 7 hours' time.
Sob... don't miss me!
I'll be back next Tuesday. So until next Wednesday, I won't be posting... unless I get a computer somewhere, like the one at my brother's place from Sunday onwards.
My mother, father, younger brother and I are heading over to the golden beaches at the Gold Coast... We've got a tour package which includes trips to Dream World and Movie World, but we'll also be meeting up with my older brother and sis-in-law there. My older brother is currently working under contract in Australia you see. So around the 18th or so, we'll be leaving Gold Coast and the tour group for somewhere called Toowoomba, which is like a few hours away from Brisbane. That's where my brother stays. But we'll still be staying in a motel there.
Today my parents, especially my mother were so infuriated when the tour agency threatened to ruin our plans. You see, they were already quite pissed off with the tour agency already because of some of their indecisiveness, lack of initiative and all. They didn't call us like they said they would, and my mother had to call them numerous times to confirm our flights. Then another day this guy called me telling me that my parents should go down to collect the flight tickets, but when my mother went there, the agency told her she'll only be able to collect it at the airport. And not to forget, one guy there apparently lied to her that this woman in charge was on leave, when she appeared at the office moments later. So today, guess what? The guy from Dynasty Travels called us and informed us that they'd have to change the itinery for some days. And my mother just blew up. She doesn't lose her cool often, so to hear her screaming at the guy over the phone was scary. You see, we'd already booked our own transport and made our own plans for the "free days" with my older brother, so when they wanted to change the free day to another day.... And to think they informed us only 8 hours before our flight! Needless to say, she was really mad, and started threatening them about how she'd tell all her friends at MediaCorp News to boycott the agency. Yeah, both my parents work with the local TV broadcaster. They aren't highly ranked, just clerks, but they could do what they threatened to do... My father also called them up later, and my father is just like this ferocious lion... Be wary! Even I was quite pissed off and I swore to myself if they do not do anything satisfactory, I'd screw them upside down with complaint letters and all.
Haha. I know we sounded scary, but can you just imagine how pissed off we were? Which bloody tour agency informs you of a change in schedule only 8 hours before your flight? I think it was because they didn't have enough customers or something. Idiots. My parents are like real meticulous planners. My mother has already planned this trip for half a year, and she'd started packing her luggages months ago. I took only a few minutes packing. So they're the sort who doesn't like having the plans messed up. Especially since the transport and all have already been booked...
Luckily, those guys at the tour agency saved their asses by calling us back later and told us it was all back to the original plans again. I still don't think I'll ever use Dynasty Travels again though. In the build up to all these, they've just pissed us off too many times.
Anyway, back to the trip... I'm just sooooooo excited!!!!!!!!!!

It's the first time ALL of us are going on an overseas trip together. Most of the time, it's just Mummy, Daniel (my younger brother) and me. My father can be pretty irritating at times, so I'm not expecting everything to go so smoothly, but hopefully it can still be a pretty enjoyable trip! The last time I went to Gold Coast... I remember sulking most of the time. Can't remember why. And I think I was scared of Batman and all those walking cartoon characters too.
May this be a more enjoyable trip...
